Overview
Payroll Officer required for an exciting permanent opportunity to work for a notable and forward-thinking business based in Speke. Reporting directly into the Group Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for processing end-to-end payroll on both a monthly and weekly employees, including paying a high number of employees, processing statutory requirements, submitting returns, processing expenses, year end responsibilities, payroll reconciliations, management reporting, and complex query resolution. This is a perfect opportunity for an experienced Payroll professional, who is looking for the next step in their career. Ideally, you will have a minimum of 6 months experience of working within a busy payroll team. You will have a strong working knowledge of current payroll legislation, and will be confident with manual calculations. You will have experience of using a computerised payroll system (ideally Sage Payroll), and will have excellent Excel skills. You will have a keen eye for detail, and will be a team player with the ability to work under minimal supervision. You will thrive under pressure and will have excellent interpersonal skills. Above all, you will have a positive attitude and will show an eagerness to learn.
