Our client, a leading outsourcing company require an experienced Java Developer for an initial 3 month contract based in Leeds. Required Skills Java Developers (1.8) (including Spring Boot, Drop Wizard, Hibernate, Jersey, CXF and Maven Microservices and Event driven architecture. Active/Rabbit MQ, Apache Kafka, API Gateway - Kong or any equivalent CI tooling like Git, Gitlab CI, Jenkins, SonarQube Nexus, Artifactory AWS or Microsoft Azure experience - Desirable As a senior front-end engineer, your job will be to lead how we develop, modify and maintain elements of services that people see and interact with at with the end client You'll work with multidisciplinary teams to deliver world-class services designed for the people who use them, in line with the government's Digital Service Standard. This role is about defining and maintaining standards. It's about making sure products and services are built with modern web development techniques. These will include thinking about user experience, progressive enhancement, performance, and accessibility and browser compatibility. You should have substantial experience of building services that work and perform quickly across different devices and browsers using modern HTML, CSS and JavaScript technologies such as Node.js and express.
