Metrology Engineer Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire £40,000 - £45,000 Per Annum Negotiable on experience Permanent Position Black Cat Recruitment are currently working with a large manufacturing company within the Automotive sector based in Buckingham near Milton Keynes. Due to significant investment in personnel, processes and plant in 2020, there are opportunities for an experienced, driven and committed Metrology Engineer to join their team on a Permanent contract. Experience required: Previous experience of working in a Metrology role within the Automotive industry is essential Previous experience of programming and running CMM and 3D scanning equipment is essential (such as FARO or ROMER ARM etc.) A background of working with plastic or moulded parts or similar would be beneficial Responsibility for the Metrology Engineer includes: The CMM & Metrology Engineer will be responsible for all aspects of 3D scanning and measurement for new products coming into the site. Metrology Engineer Job Role includes: Carrying out 3D measurement scanning ( FARO Arm and similar equipment) and CMM measurement of plastic moulded car parts and assemblies Writing CMM programmes in Polyworks Reporting, in the form of ‘First Article Inspection Reports' (FAIRs) Liaison with Design staff to optimise drawing measurement features and tolerances etc. Managing a small team of 3x CMM operators / Quality Inspectors If you have the relevant experience and would like to explore this excellent opportunity, please apply with your up to date CV or contact Ian at Black Cat Recruitment for more information.
