Your new company This well-establish logistics organisation, based in Stallingborough, are now looking to secure a full time Assistant Accountant to join their finance team. This will be a year long contract with a possibility for extension. Your new role Reporting directly into the Finance Director, you will be responsible for the day to day running of numerous aspects of the Finance functions for the business. You will produce the profit and loss, balance sheet reporting, accrual and pre-payments and manage the fixed asset register. This role is diverse and interesting, providing support to the accounts team as required. This position is full time, working 9:00am-5:00pm, Monday to Friday with an hour lunch break. What you'll need to succeed You will have recent and relevant Assistant Accountant experience, with a key eye for detail. The successful candidate will be a proficient user of Microsoft Excel and have a methodical and organised approach to the work they do. Previous experience in the transport industry and an understanding of payroll procedures is beneficial but not essential. Ideally, you will be AAT qualified or working through the final stages. What you'll get in return The salary for this role is negotiable based on previous experience but will be between £20,000 and £23,000. Free parking is available on site.
