Overview

Are you a tenacious individual that takes pride in seeing their hard work pay off? We are looking for an experienced Trainer who will be responsible for the delivery and completion of apprenticeships at various sites across the south of England. This is not a role for the "faint-hearted", it is a role that requires a lot of perseverance as every Apprentice counts to Gi Group. You will be an ambassador for Gi Group with exposure to many clients and therefore, you will need to maintain a positive, committed and professional attitude at all times ensuring you are a good role model for Gi Group. Gi Group are committed to doing everything possible to ensure the apprentices complete their Apprenticeship Programme and ultimately, this will be your responsibility. This is a fast faced role, where change happens often and at short notice and therefore, we are looking for someone that can adapt their training and delivery in order to keep up to date. The Government Funded Programme is frequently developing and you will need to competently deal with it's changing demands. Apprentices are a demanding bunch and each come with their own challenges. Planning and communication are key to this role and you will need to possess the ability to escalate at the appropriate times, to ensure support can be provided with plenty of time. This is an autonomous role and you will be in control of your own successes. You will be responsible for meeting your KPIs and you must be able to use your data in order to determine whether strategies are working and explain the various peaks and troughs that you encounter. There is a great open support infrastructure available for both formal and informal discussions and Gi Group is a company that embraces new ideas and better ways of working. As an Apprenticeship Trainer you will successfully and compliantly enrol the target amount of apprentices onto the Apprenticeship Programme. You will effectively design a delivery plan for each Apprentice in conjunction with the employer, to include the release of apprentices and resources e.g. training rooms. You will deliver training at a high standard in line with the delivery plan , using the approved resources. You will ensure all apprentices remain on track and up to date with their learning. You will communicate with the employers and ensure they are kept up to date with the training and assessment schedules for every apprentice. You will conduct assessments and observations, prepare, agree and review assessment plans using eAssessor and ensure these are maintained and managed appropriately. You will maintain a QAR of 75% as a minimum, an Ofsted Grade 2 or above (or equivalent) and a monthly CPD tracker. You will be self-motivated, professional, have good interpersonal skills on a one-to-one basis and in group situations and be pro-active and able to raise concerns before they become a problem. You will have the ability to motivate apprentices, build and maintain good working relationships and be committed to implement equality of opportunity in training and assessment whilst, striving to raise the standards in the industry. You will have good record keeping and administration skills and be willing to work to the standards of the awarding body. You MUST be an experienced Trainer with qualifications in the relevant field (have held a position of the same level or higher of the Apprenticeship being delivered) and have good oral and written communication skills. You MUST have a full, clean driving license and be willing and able to travel over a wide area and spend time away from home. You MUST be eligible to work within the UK no sponsorship is available.
