Morgan Hunt are currently working with a council, located in the West Midlands, in their search for a Planning Policy Officer. The role is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Planning Policy Officer, who is looking for a temporary role. As a Planning Policy Officer, you will be responsible for supporting the team in both developing and delivering the Statutory Development Plan and all Strategic Planning Policy topics. Job Title: Planning Policy Officer Location: West Midlands Day Rate: £20.00 to £25.00 Job Type: Temporary Hours: Full-time (36 hours per week) Start Date: ASAP Key Responsibilities Review, monitor and prepare documents to support the Development Plan Lead on the provision of advice and guidance internally on certain Policy areas Write reports/briefs and present these to a range of Committees and at board level Act as a representative of the organisation on Planning Policy matters at both a National and Regional level Assist with research, evidence and monitoring in the development of Planning and Regeneration Policy Develop and maintain relationships with developers and key stakeholders (internal and external) Personal Specification Experience in Strategic Planning and Regeneration Planning Processes Deep understanding Public Procurement Regulations and other Project Management Techniques Ability to form and maintain stakeholder relationship The ability to influence and negotiate as well as work independently Strong research and analytical skills Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills Qualified to degree level within town planning or a related subject Please contact to find out more information regarding this fantastic opportunity as a Planning Policy Officer in the West Midlands.
