Overview

Our client is looking for a nine-month fixed-term contractor to work as an AMR / SMART Co-ordinator, covering a specific company project. Working within a team responsible for the management of Smart and AMR installations across the Business, as a result of commercial contracts, for business benefit and government legislation. The core function of the role is the day-to-day management of the AMR and Smart installations. This includes contact and asset cleansing, requesting installations, managing and interpreting weekly updates from the 3rd party providers, resolving installation issues and producing customer reports. Team members will undergo enhanced HR screening to enable them to work on Smart Metering systems and data. The role will call for strong analysis, communication and reporting skills, as well as the ability to work efficiently under pressure whilst remaining approachable. A flexible and analytical outlook is required, as the role is sometimes demanding due to the complex investigations involved. The growing profile of AMR and Smart within the Business, together with government legislation for mandated AMR and Smart meters, provides team members with the opportunity to develop expertise and project management skills, as well as career development. Specific responsibilities will include: Co-ordinate AMR and Smart installation projects with 3rd party providers and customers. Central point of contact for 3rd party providers and customers for installation related queries. Identify and resolve asset issues to allow the requesting of installations. Post site-visit, investigate and resolve asset and access related queries with customers / the Business. Manage installation reports; interpreting these to produce customer update reports on a pre-determined basis. Requesting meter exchanges with 3rd party MAMs. Investigating queries through to resolution by raising the appropriate queries to the 3rd party providers and MAMs where necessary. Monitoring the validity of data from the AMR service provider to minimise customer data issues. Effectively manage any health and safety incidents as notified by customers or the 3rd party provider. The successful candidate will possess the following qualities: Experience, possibly with a technical background. Ideally some technical knowledge / qualification (A or GCSE level or above). Knowledge of Business Objects and MS Excel would be a distinct advantage. Excellent communication skills: written and verbal. Good attention to detail
