Overview
Edenbrook are working with a London Market Insurance and Reinsurance broker, based in the heart of the city, this role is initially 12 month fixed term contract, with a view to go perm if you would wish. In the role you will work closely with the finance manager to prepare annual accounts for growing number of UK entities, currently at 30 and expected to grow in the next couple of months. In the role you will work for and alongside an existing team member to run the external audit process, both in the UK and ensure smooth running elsewhere too. As a result of the move of Head Office from America to London, you will also be responsible for preparing the consolidation accounts for the US Parent under US GAAP within strict deadlines imposed by our PE backers. Additionally, at month end we envisage this role producing the monthly board packs for PE review. This requires someone with a strong control mindset to ensure each aspect of month end has been completed and the report can be updated accordingly. Key responsibilities Preparation of annual statutory accounts for all UK & other overseas entities (as required) Liaison with external auditors & coordination of fieldwork Assist in completion of monthly consolidation Assist in compilation of monthly group reporting pack Manage liquidation/striking off of old/dormant group entities The candidate for this role will be ideally looking for their first/second role out of practice, having good experience within the Insurance Industry and of preparing accounts under FRS102 and US GAAP.
