New opportunity not to be missed Optima Health and Social Care Ltd is looking for a Paediatric Nurse / Trainer to join our team based in Liverpool . You will join us on a full-time basis working primarily Monday to Friday 9.00am – 5.00pm). In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £41,712 per annum Hours: Monday to Friday – 09.00 – 17.00 (due to nature of our work there may be planned occasions where we need the Paediatric Nurse / Trainer to work outside of these hours) Optima Health and Social Care Ltd is an experienced and accredited provider of complex health needs services across Liverpool and the Merseyside region. We are rated as GOOD by CQC . We work primarily with children and young people but also some adults all living in their own homes. The Paediatric Nurse Trainer role: The role will involve in-house teaching/ training and ongoing assessment of our employed Community Support Workers including competence assessment/measurement and clinical skills ‘sign off’. The role also involves the pre-service assessment of service users’ clinical needs and assisting the with the formulation of both Health Care Support Plans & associated Risk Management Plans. The Paediatric Nurse /Trainer also plays an important role in developing and shaping our in-house training packages. All tasks will receive the full support of our Senior Practitioner / Clinical Lead. What are we looking for in our Paediatric Nurse / Trainer? - A Registered Childrens Nurse - Experience working with/ managing complex children’s care. - Experience working within a Children’s ICU or Community Nurse Role would be a distinct advantage. - Experience of delivering services to young people with a broad range of complex and additional health needs. - Experience of and ability to assess and devise support plans for children with long term ventilation needs , tracheostomy needs , oral suctioning and other complex medical conditions . - Good communication skills - Team Player – who can work with people at varying levels of experience and qualifications - Value Driven – who really wants to make a difference for all our service users. We now provide these services across the whole of the Northwest of England. This year has seen the launch our our new Clinical Governance and Clinical Skills Training service. We have two offices, where our friendly and hard-working teams are based. They have a wide depth of knowledge of the sector and are very supportive both professionally and personally. The company was set up to ensure the best possible standards of care and support are delivered but we can only achieve this if we support each other. The Paediatric Nurse / Trainer will be supported by an experienced Assistant Trainer and together they plan and deliver all training needs to our teams across Merseyside. We are a relatively small organisation, so this role rally does give you scope to influence and deliver a fantastic service as part of our dedicated team of CSWs, Care Coordinators and Nurses & Managers.
