Job Description We are currently recruiting a Security Manager on a permanent contract to join our team based in Chiswick, West London. The Security Manager is responsible for the day-to-day supervision and delivery of the regional Security Operation in line with the direction set by the Security Director. Operating in a dynamic and fast-moving working environment the Security Managers are responsible for the short term review and supervision of Service Delivery, including 24-7 intelligence collection, assessment, reporting and advice, in BAU and escalation, and for the core competencies across the Security Operation in line with global standards. Key Responsibilities Management and Leadership Supervision of Regional Security Centre operational desks for delivery of security services, including 24-7 escalation. Day-to-day delivery of Security Assistance and Assessment. Functional management, training and development of Coordinating Security Specialists (CSS). Performance and development management of CSS Operational Service Delivery Situational awareness in line with Regional Security Centre priorities, including information collection and research on political and social issues that could impact the security and operational environment, and the timely escalation and reporting of changes to the risk environment; supervision and delivery of regional weekly and monthly analytical forecasts; Delivery of timely and accurate travel risk management advice to all audiences and across all distribution channels (online content, written briefs, verbal briefs); Coordination of complex cases (and delivery as required), including Assistance cases, Manager Services, and triage of kidnap, extortion and life threatening cases etc; Coordination and delivery mass evacuation services Operational Planning Support operational planning, including the preparation and delivery of Country Assessment sessions and related Concepts of Operations Plan and conduct Country accreditation visits supporting commercial, Assistance and Assessments functions Assist in development of information gathering and analysis tools Participate in the Regional Security Centre on Call roster to ensure effective support to escalation. Maintain relationships with regional information and security assistance provider network. Maintain Database of providers, information and country specific planning. Qualifications Required Experience & Skills International work experience, preferably in West or North Africa. Cross cultural management experience. Experience in security or intelligence operations in military, government, NGO or private sector roles. Delivery of consulting and training. Experience applying a quality management programme an advantage. Strong people management and relationship skills. Operational security, intelligence, risk management and/or crisis management experience. Excellent written and verbal communications. Strong understanding of the political and security landscape of the region. Strong influencing skills. Degree (or relevant professional training) in a field related to security, international politics, risk management or international relations studies.
