Overview
DevSecOps Engineer Location: Birmingham Contract: 6 months Rate: £500 - £600 per day IR35 Status: Outside This role will be with a financial services organisation in central birmingham. The successful DevSecOps Engineer will be required to: Your primary focus will be to design, build, deliver and monitor a high performing and reliable software system that is both scalable and secure. You will also contribute to the microservices architecture design that is also event driven. You will apply modern software engineering practices to the infrastructure such as continuous delivery, automated testing, infrastructure as code Provide cloud-native platforms to the engineering teams Implement and operate security as defined by CISO and security team Participate in vulnerability management to identify and fix security bugs Integrate security into tool chain to enable effective cyber risk management. Contribute to Site Reliability Operations such as tickets, support, incident response and on-call rota DevSecOps Engineer Specification: A Software engineering background Technical knowledge of security engineering, authentication and security protocols Experience with security hardening procedures Hands-on experience designing, building, delivering and running production-grade software at scale Experience on subjects like continuous delivery, distributed architectures and systems, everything-as-code, containerisation, cloud services and incident response Comfort debugging systems and reading/writing code Understanding of Incident, Problem, Change and Release management processes If you’re an experienced DevSecOps available now or in the near future for a new contract opportunity, please apply with your updated CV or call Axl at Premier Group for further information.
