Financial Accountant

Our client, a leading innovative company in its sector, seeks a high-calibre Financial Accountant following internal promotion. Managing a small team, you will support the Financial Controller with financial accounting for the business. The role will involve a broad range of duties including managing all month-end activities including Group reporting, preparation of the statutory financial accounts, journals and balance-sheet reconciliations, VAT returns and payroll related allocations. In addition, you will help provide information for Board packs, manage the statutory audit process and support the Financial Controller on ad hoc projects. Applicants should be a fully qualified accountant with proven financial accounting experience gained within practice or a commercial organisation. Skills / Experience / Attributes: ACA, CIMA or ACCA Qualified (newly qualified or experienced) Minimum of 4 years working experience Good understanding of month end accountiing procedures Excellent communicator Team player Proven ability of working under pressure / to tight deadlines Strong IT skills, especially Excel
