Financial Accountant

Financial Accountant Didcot Apointe have been engaged by our clients based in Didcot, a division of a multi-Billion turnover, Global company. They are seeking a good technical Accountant that will be working with their Financial Controller. General Duties & Tasks; Managing month-end activities including Group reporting, journals and balance-sheet reconciliations. VAT return preparation & submission for the E6 Group. People management of the financial processing team. Management of the annual Statutory audit process, including preparation of the statutory financial accounts Provide Board Pack materials as required. Cost Centre Management Labour, Expenses & Depreciation. Cost Centre Reporting. Payroll related month end allocations and ongoing cost code maintenance. Assembling data for quarterly and annual Tax filings. Maintaining Access and Approvals work flows, within the financial systems, including appropriate segregation of duties. Job Overview; Support the Financial Controller in the job of keeping the organisational accounts to the highest professional standard, as well as to support any member of the organisation and/or partners with their financial needs. Ensuring all statutory accounts and taxation compliance requirements are met. Contributes to the development and implementation of the departmental accounting systems, policies and procedures. Day-to-day management of the finance processing team. Supports the department through the collection, processing, recording, reconciliation and reporting of financial data, verifying the validity, completeness and accuracy of source documentation. Maintains complete and proper records of revenue, expenditure, assets and liabilities, and ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial information. Successful applicant would be expected to spend 2-3 years within the role. Role has come about through current financial accountant, moving to a business support role, internally. Required skills/qualifications; ACA, CIMA or ACCA Qualified Good understanding of month end procedures Strong IT skills (especially Excel.
