Elevation Procurement & Supply Chain are exclusively working with a successful Engineering business based in Sheffield, in the search for an experienced Procurement professional. My client is a well-established business and a big employer in the South Yorkshire area. They supply globally into aerospace, defence and oil & gas sectors. Operating for over a 100 years' now, they are known as an industry leader in their field. This role will have responsibility for managing purchase orders across indirect spend. Reporting into the Procurement Manager and taking initiative in identifying opportunities to consolidate spend, manage p/o's more effectively and rationalise supply chains. My client is looking for a driven and dynamic individual with Procurement experience, ideally from an engineering, machine shop or steelworks environment. A professional who is keen to make a long-term move with the view to progress their career as a Buyer. Someone who is highly analytical with strong Excel skills and ability to work collaboratively with suppliers and internal stakeholders. Key Duties and Responsibilities include: - Raising and managing Purchase orders inline with demand across operations and engineering - Analysing spend to proactively identify opportunities to consolidate areas, and minimise duplications - Managing a portfolio of suppliers, building key relationships - Working closely with engineering, production and finance teams ensuring necessary requirements and any incorrect supplier invoices are queried - Utilising ERP systems and Excel to ensure procurement processes are managed and recorded accurately Elevation Procurement & Supply Chain would be keen to speak with candidates with the following skills and experiences: - Ideally CIPS qualified or working towards - Minimum 2 years Purchasing experience, ideally within an engineering environment - Strong Excel skills and experience in working with ERP systems - Excellent supplier management skills Elevation Procurement & Supply Chain is a specialist division of Elevation Recruitment focusing on purchasing, sourcing, and full supply chain control and management positions in Yorkshire and surrounding regions.
