An award winning, leading electronics/electrical component manufacturing client based in the Hampshire area is looking for a Supply Chain Director to join their growing supply chain team as they continue being the world leaders in connectivity products. The role is commutable from Guildford, Farnham, Farnborough and Aldershot and surrounding areas. The Company They currently dominate the market share for electronic/electrical components across a range of industries including automotive and aerospace and are looking to expand their team over the next course of the year. Supply Chain Director This exciting opportunity will be about establishing new processes, global supply chain management as well as ensuring strategic operations across their supplier base. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for helping to support the entire operations across the procurement function, leading negotiations, sourcing and contracts. Responsibilities include: Develop and continuously improve supplier relationship & performance programs, supported by relevant KPIs Contribute cross-departmentally with existing and new product development projects, ensuring timely acquisition of materials and a robust Supply Chain to support products from development to end of life Take responsibility for the employee lifecycle of direct reports, from recruitment, training and development, performance management and employee engagement Excellent analytical skills and ability to assimilate data from various sources and synthesize inputs into actionable, cost-effective plans Continuously analyse the supply chain and implement alternative sourcing strategies to reduce cost and improve performance. Lead the activities of all functions involved in the sourcing, material acquisition, control of materials from the forecast demand to the delivery of stock to the production facilities Lead commercial negotiations for major procurement contracts; make recommendations on sourcing direction based on Total Cost of Ownership, supply chain & business risk, supply chain positioning & optimized strategic buffers Develop lean supply chain initiatives to ensure we maintain pace with our customer demand while protecting working capital Establish with effective leadership skills a continuous improvement culture Lead the creation and updating of relevant processes and procedures in addition to compliance with all regulatory requirements and ethical standards related to Supply Chain and the policies of the business Lead and coach others in achieving Supply Chain excellence, quality control and safety. Supply Chain Director Requirements: Degree Educated and CIPS qualification desirable Experience with procuring electronics/electrical components required Manufacturing experience is essential and the ability to work within a technical environment 5 years at Senior Management Level Willing and flexible to travel In return, you will receive a salary that is dependent on experience, medical care, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, competitive pension as well as the chance to join a globally successful organization.
