Overview
Finance Analyst Firefly are currently recruiting a Finance Analyst role at a private equity backed business within the Healthcare sector in Reading. This will be an exciting/fast paced role reporting to the Divisional Financial Controller, taking accountability for the day-today management accounting and developing working relationships with the operations team across operating units. The right person will most likely be from a large organisation and looking to complete either ACCA or CIMA. Key Responsibilities: Supporting the Finance Manager in the month-end reporting process for the nominated sites including preparation of financial and non-financial information along with detailed variance analysis and commentaries Supporting the FP&A Manager and Finance Manager with any other ad hoc duties as may be required from time to time. Preparing the month-end journals including accruals and prepayments Investigation and resolution of variances against forecast and budget Supporting the monthly forecast and annual budget process for the operating units Assisting in the management, implementation and compliance with financial control policies and processes across the units Advising and assisting units with the Purchase Order (PO) and invoice management process; ensuring PO compliance, timely processing of invoices and open PO reviews Skills: Part Qualified or higher professional accounting qualification Strong academic qualifications 2 years experience in Management/Financial Accounting Strong business partnering skills High level of competency in usual Microsoft applications e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook, Powerpoint
