Exciting Support Worker Opportunity We are recruiting for committed and self-motivated Support Workers to work within our homes/ support facilities. You will be supporting people with learning disabilities. Both Full and Part-Time positions available. Advanced sleep in rate (£65.68 - per sleep in) Great organisational culture The Role: To support and enable individuals with disabilities according to their individual needs, through maximum participation in service provision. You will be providing support within the following areas. Physical Support: This may include household and domestic tasks, such as shopping, food preparation and personal hygiene. Practical Support: To provide every opportunity to participate and support or be fully responsible if necessary, for all task and duties both inside and outside the home. Emotional Support: To offer support in a sensitive manner with the ability to empathise and actively listen. Household and administrative duties: To maintain accurate records of the supported persons personal records, house records, communication books, food and petty cash. About you: You will have a broad range of life experience that will prove valuable as you support service users in many aspects of their lives. You will need to show an understanding of the rights of those people with a disability. Full UK Driving licence will be required for this role. Previous experience within a care/ support worker role (desirable) Great interpersonal skills. Ability to work to own initiative Desire to support people with learning disabilities Commitment to work towards professional care qualifications. Ability to work flexible in line with service needs.
