Vacancy Details This is a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract Join the Family An exciting opportunity has arisen for the right candidate to join the IT Test Team based in Newcastle. This is a 12 months fixed term contract, due to a new and exciting project in Business Intelligence being delivered by the IT team. You will be part of an agile scrum team and participating in the functional and user acceptance testing to assure that it is fit for purpose and production ready for our internal customers. Work Pattern Monday to Friday but some flexibility maybe required from time to time Job Description We are ideally looking for a candidate that has knowledge and experience in the Business Intelligence arena, familiar with Azure data platforms, big data and a distinctive advantage if you have working knowledge of the retail world. We are looking for a candidate that believes in automation first over manual testing, but complements the automation with exploratory manual testing. There is also a migration of data for this project so any experience in this area would be great plus. Key Responsibilities: Collaborating with Greggs stakeholders, developers and 3rd party systems integrators to gain full understanding of the requirements to be delivered. Utilising existing and supporting the implementation of new testing tools to enable a full end to end test of the system As part of the scrum team give test estimates for scoping, planning and execution of manual and automated tests Creation and execution of manual and automated test scripts including running full regression tests and sharing results and risks with key stakeholders. Logging issues within our defect tracking system and ensure collaboration with the team to resolution Supporting the IT Test Lead to ensure the testing programme is in line with strategy and business needs Skills Experience in test automation frameworks Azure Platforms and testing big data Working knowledge of MS Power BI would be a distinctive advantage An ability to write SQL queries and analyse results Strong written and verbal communication skills An ability to meet challenging targets and deadlines Customer focused Highly numerate with an ability to analyse, interpret and report on data Strong influencing and negotiation skills Excellent planning and organisational skills Self-motivated and willing to take accountability Clearly shows passion and drive Benefits Our Greggs Employee Staff Discount Scheme is very generous, offering you up to 50% off our food Your holiday entitlement starts with 21 days, in addition to bank holidays, which increases with service up to a maximum of 30 days after 25 years’ service.
