Overview
Company Accountant, Cambridge, £45,000 - £55,000, Bio-medical scale up R&D organisation. Your new company Our client in the South of Cambridge are looking to recruit an experienced Company Accountant who is able to take on a diverse and varied role, to support the CFO in order to facilitate and manage the finance department in line with the companies growth strategy. The company have been in a sustained period of growth and are now looking to scale further across multiple departments. Your new role As the new Company Accountant, you will be responsible for all of the transactional elements of the finance department, including invoices, payments and maintenance of records and appropriate internal controls. You will have experience and understanding of building financial models from scratch in excel and have an understanding of the impact and utilisation of NPV and IRR models. It will be your responsibility to produce board reports and variance analysis across the accounts. You should be willing to work on both the transactional and management tasks and work to continuously improve the policies and procedures of the company. You will need to be organised, as the role is varied, you will be expected to produce timely monthly financial reports including commentary and assumptions. You will work closely with the CFO on ad hoc projects as necessary, including the facilitation of any due diligence processes relating to financing rounds. What you'll need to succeed You will be an ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified Accountant or finalist with excellent communication skills along with strong analytical skills. You will have commercial finance experience and have the ability to build relationships within the business. You will have an excellent understanding of excel, be organised and flexible in order to meet challenging workloads. As Company Accountant you will have a willingness to get involved in all aspects of the role and take ownership of the tasks, but also be prepared to ask for advice from your management where necessary. What you'll get in return As Company Accountant you will receive a salary of £45, 000 - £55,000 dependant on experience. This is a full time position in a flexible working environment. Due to being located in the South of Cambridge, it is preferred to have your own transport and parking is offered on site however, there is a bus that travels to the location.
