Supplying predominantly into further food manufacturing, this well-established, family run business prides itself on providing exceptional customer service and the highest quality products. The job The business has recently undergone tremendous success and as such, is looking for a Technical Assistant to join their expanding team. The purpose of the role is to be responsible for compliance with all hygiene, environmental and health and safety requirements as laid out in the company policy. You will handle QA related queries, review supplier specification (raw materials and packaging) to ensure they contain correct information, ensure customer and internal specifications for new and existing products are completed and sustain customer expectation for quality, safety and legality. Your experience The Technical Assistant position would suit an energetic person with great attention to detail who has experience in a food industry quality role. You will also ideally have experience working with/writing food product specifications. You will have working knowledge of requirements to ensure product safety and due diligence and previous supplier assurance/approval experience is also desirable. A degree/HND in a food science, food technology or related subject is also an advantage. More details The Technical Assistant job is based in the South West region and is paying £22,000 - £25,000 according to individual skills and previous experience plus excellent company benefits and wellbeing options. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 8.45 am – 4.45 pm (4 pm finish on a Friday).
