Overview
The primary aim of this role is to become a subject matter expert, providing in-depth analysis every month of the profitability. The role will require the successful individual to develop a detailed understanding of all areas of the business. In this position, you will be responsible for the following tasks: Ensuring the management accounts are completed accurately and in a timely manner Supporting the Senior Management Accountant with ad hoc projects Understanding detailed elements and drivers of cost, accuracy and completeness of customer billing Working closely with the other members of the management accounting team to provide a holistic view of margin at total business level Assess, analyse and challenge the business performance Support the commercial finance team with costing models to sense check "actuals" vs what is in their models Working closely with the Commercial Finance team to ensure that any variances discovered through the monthly analysis are fed into the rolling forecast model Support the wider Finance team with the implementation of Dynamics 365 The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills, experience and attributes: ACA/CIMA/ACCA qualified or finalist level Excellent inter-personal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external contacts Commercial awareness and ability to see the bigger picture Excellent IT skills (Advanced Excel) Analytical skills and comfortable manipulating large data sets Close attention to detail
