Employees benefit from great career progression, sector-leading professional training and great job stability - people stay an average of 6 years The Role We are currently recruiting Positive Behaviour Support Workers for a new 4-bedded transforming care service opening in Chertsey. Positive behaviour support is a behaviour management system used to understand what maintains an individual's challenging behaviour. It is a person-centred approach to supporting people who display or are at risk of displaying behaviours which challenge. Drivers are desirable due to the location, public transport links as well as driving mobility cars but if people can commute easily to the service we can consider them if they don’t drive. This role will involve working across a 7 day rota including early mornings, lates and waking nights - full flexibility of candidates is needed. Skills and Experience You don’t need experience as full training is provided, and you will work with a local team who will guide you from day one. You will need to be: • Reliable - the person you support, their family and your team will quickly learn that they can count on you. • Creative - you see alternative ways of getting things done effectively. • Determined - you don’t give up when things get difficult. These qualities are essential to the role, as together they mean you will be able to give outstanding support, empowering people to make choices and: • participate in social, leisure and work activities • carry out everyday tasks, such as personal care, cleaning or going shopping • learn new skills and reach their full potential Salary and Benefits Salary - £18,600 to £19,800 benefits per annum depending on experience rising to £21,000 per annum after probation. There is a pay structure in place for non-experienced and experienced candidates with complexity enhancement payments after specific training and 6 months’ probation have been completed; The salaries rise to £21,000 per annum for non-experienced candidates after 1 year and for experienced candidates after 6 months.
