Payroll Advisor - Cheltenham,Gloucestershire - £25,000-£27,000 per annum - Cheltenham, Gloucestershire - Hays Your new company Hays Accountancy & Finance are partnering with a leading professional services organisation to recruit for a dynamic and hands-on Payroll Advisor for their Cheltenham, Gloucestershire office. This permanent payroll position covers abroad range of payroll responsibilities, from payroll administration, reports and data entry to more technical tax queries, managing the supplier and pensions processing responsibilities. Your new role Your key duties will involve managing the payroll processing to the outsourced supplier, being the first port of contact for employees on any payroll queries, understanding and advising team/employees on tax implications and benefits. You will update the HR database with all changes to pay, benefits, bank details and addresses, submit electronic files to the payroll provider for processing, along with collating information and ensuring any payroll transactions (e.g. starters, leavers, maternity, changes to pay, unpaid leave, salary review, bonus etc.) are processed accurately. You will work with team members on P11d production, monitor costs and process invoices for the payroll supplier along with processing pension files, updating pension contributions and assisting in payroll process improvement. What you'll need to succeed To be considered for this exciting Payroll Advisor position you will need experience within a similar role with a dynamic and hands-on working approach. You will ideally have knowledge of pension processing, up to date knowledge of Tax, National Insurance, Statutory Payments and Payroll Legislation. You will have an awareness of tax implications for flexible benefit schemes and be able to work under own initiative, manage priorities and workload independently. Attention to detail and accuracy is an essential requirement with key communication skills, a good level of MS Excel and have knowledge with number of payroll systems.
