Overview
Orka Financial is working with an acquisitive PLC based in High Wycombe to recruit a Financial Accountant into their growing finance function. This is a brand new role that would join some exceptional people in the finance function who are on hand to help develop and train the successful candidate. Responsibilities: • Be the key representative for Finance for the ERP system • Improving controls over financial data, to include reconciliation activities and development of interim solutions • Lead on standardisation of accounting policies between all Group companies, focusing on best practice • Liaise with external firm to perform internal audit • Preparation of corporation tax computations for all Group companies • Assisting the tax advisors with iXBRL tagging of the financial statements • Liaise with external tax advisers for local and international tax matters • Assist the Group Finance Manager with the Group’s annual reports processes, including: • Preparation of IFRS statutory accounts and disclosures • Ensure that the Group’s financial statements and annual report is delivered to a high standard with relevant disclosures in a timely manner • Act as a key contact for external auditors and assist in the co-ordination of the annual and interim audit and ensuring that all auditor queries are satisfactorily addressed • Assist the Group Finance Manager in preparation of monthly consolidated accounts for the Group under IFRS • Assist in Group budget process • Group treasury • Assist ad hoc projects as necessary Experience and Skills Required: • Newly qualified ACA, ACCA or equivalent with audit background and strong technical accounting skills • IFRS experience • Tax experience • Group consolidation in multi-currencies experience • Strong analytical and IT skills particularly in excel • Experience of NetSuite or Adaptive will be advantage • Be a strong, effective communicator, with a proven ability to build relationships • Ability to communicate with the Board and non-financial individuals alike • Have a high level of personal motivation and initiative with the ability to work to tight deadlines in a flexible and evolving work environment • Actively seeks to improve processes making them more effective and efficient • A high level of attention to detail Salary: £43,000 - £50,000 benefits
