Overview

Background The Appian Business Process Management platform was first implemented at the company in 2005. It is now used within the Bank for the following production applications used by a number of teams throughout the Bank in support of their business processes: eSelection / eSelection OGC BAS / EGP MIS TCRS ClientNet SEFF MIS SBI MIS These applications are currently developed and maintained by the Banking and Analytics Product Services team within the Information Technology department of the Bank. The team provide second and third line support for the detailed applications. Scope of Services The Consultant shall be primarily responsible for Support the transition of this Scope of Services to a Third Party Provider once appointed. The incident and problem management enhancement of the Appian platform based Applications Meeting this objective by providing the following services: Perform a problem management role, by liaising with development team members to diagnose long term service affecting issues. Facilitate the definition and implementation of solutions to these problems. Act as a point of knowledge for Appian applications Measure and analyse applications issues to determine root causes and develop technical and training solutions to minimise reoccurrences and severity and report results to manager, ensuring RFP wginner resources are informed during transition period and responsible afterwards Escalate and manage issues and recurring problems with platform level vendor support team. Fix defects within applications, where critical faults are identified and existing IS development resource plan would be adversely affected by diversion of developer personnel to implement solutions. Resolve all technical issues related to Appian Applications utilising excellent customer service skills, problem solving skills, and technical thinking/reasoning skills. Communication and response to clients to ensure client SLA levels are maintained. During unplanned system outages perform incident management activities to act as a coordinating point for users, infrastructure and development technical staff and a knowledge hub for Information Systems and senior management. Act as a point of knowledge for Appian applications, documenting this knowledge where possible to ensure effective knowledge transfer to relevant third-parties. Input to project initiation and project reviews as client/support representative to ensure that maintenance and support of application in production would not be compromised by project implementation. Undertake project and quality assurance tasks as directed by management to ensure compliance of externally developed code to internal standards, primarily to facilitate knowledge transfer for ease of in-life support & maintenance. Assist with design, development and maintenance scripts for DevOps pipeline in respect of the Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment of the above detailed Appian solutions. Undertake tasks as directed by management. Support the transition of this Scope of Services to a Third Party Provider once appointed. Implementation Arrangements The Bank shall not seek to exercise any direction, control, or supervision over the Consultant's working methods in the provision of services. Within the scope of services, the Consultant shall complete their work in adherence to relevant Bank policies, process and standards Deliverables The Consultant shall document and record application architecture and integration points to allow the engagement of third-party services via a PSL. The Consultant shall facilitate the RFP transition period by providing guidance, support and needed information. As a deliverable the consultant will ensure this scope of services is successfully transitioned to a Third Party Provider and the knowledge transfer complete.
