Overview
NRG are delighted to be working with a well-established company based in Newcastle who, due to continued success, are looking to hire an experienced Cloud Engineer who has a good understanding of DevOps. The Role: As an integral part of a new Cloud Services team, you will lead the rebuild and deployment of the cloud infrastructure and platforms. You will have huge influence moving forward with regards to technologies, tools and processes used within this team. This will be a varied role with a mixture of project delivery and operational support. Responsibilities: Work with all internal teams throughout the company to get a complete understating of the infrastructure and business requirements. Work closely with stakeholders and users to develop and support specific IT solutions and provide 2nd and 3rd level support. Deploy scalable and fault tolerant applications onto cloud platforms. With security and architecture best practices in mind, automate installation and configuration of the full application stack. Work with technical teams to drive Cloud adoption, creating technical documentation for all users. Ideally you will be experienced in some of the following: Automation development skills – Ansible/Puppet/Terraform/Cloud formation. System administration – Linux or Windows. Scripting languages – Linux/Unix Shell/Phyton/ruby. CI/CD experience. Strong AWS experience with regards to architecture and security.
