Bruckshaw Associates are recruiting for a Finance Analyst to join our dynamic modern thinking client. They are looking to add someone who will fit both the team fit as well as technical requirements. Responsibilities: A very diverse role that will give you great levels of exposure and see you working closely alongside the finance team as a whole. Although not limited to the main roles and responsibilities are as below; Preparing weekly trading review reports, including analysis of the weekly movements by business units and discussion with business units Directors and providing margin information where needed. Contribute to the production of the monthly MI pack by preparing meaningful sales & costs analysis reports with supporting commentary. Assisting with budget preparation, forecasting and modelling. Supporting development, implementation and maintenance of BI and ERP systems to enhance reporting throughout the business, analysing financial performance and contributing to medium and long-term business planning/forecasts. Variance analysis and KPI calculations including but not limited to analysis of sales & associated costs against trends and budgets to identify opportunities for improvement by working with FD, budget holders and heads of department Supporting the preparation of management & statutory accounts Preparing and posting authorised journals Calculating accruals, provisions and prepayments Nominal ledger and sub ledger reconciliations Engaging with auditors and assisting with all audit information Assist with Fixed Asset accounting Required skills and experience: Whilst there is scope to bring someone on in the role, they are looking for a candidate who has the relevant experience of a finance analyst position. You will need to have high attention to detail, strong excel skills and competent user of accounting packages. Liaising with different departments it is important that you can relay information to both finance and non finance personnel effectively. Team fit: As previously alluded to team fit, personality and attitude are going to be as important in the selection process as technical ability. You will need to be a genuine team player be focused on your own workload as well as being aware of the team as wider function.
