Assistant Finance Analyst Gloucester £23,000 - £28,000 Benefits Permanent MPR Recruitment Limited have recently been engaged by our client, a large multinational business in the Gloucester area, as they seek to add an Assistant Finance Analyst to their team. Reporting directly to the Senior Financial Analyst and working as part of the wider finance team, the Assistant Finance Analyst will perform detailed analysis on business data - providing detailed insight into KPIs and aid decision-making to drive business growth. You will liaise with key departments in the business - marketing, operations, sales and product - delivering timely, accurate and value-added information, across both the whole business and at a product group level. Responsibilities of Assistant Finance Analyst: Developing, preparing, distributing and commenting on daily, weekly, monthly and annual series of reports and information Tracking and monitoring of performances against budget and forecasts highlighting variances and other significant information that needs to be addressed to the management team Assist with the accurate and timely completion of the budget and forecast models Involvement in the development of pricing models for new products and business strategies Assist in preparation of the monthly management accounts Involvement with ad hoc financial department assistance / finance projects Skills & Experience required for Assistant Finance Analyst : The role will ideally suit a candidate who is working towards a relevant financial qualification. The successful candidate will be commercially focused and comfortable in a rapidly changing business environment. You will ideally have had some financial analysis experience and possess a strong willingness to learn. Previous experience in analysing large volumes of data is desirable. Essential: Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills Strong attention to detail Sound Financial Analysis experience Clear and concise communicator Desirable: Experience of working with SQL queries Enjoys ad-hoc/variable/project-based work
