Overview
Location: Newport (with UK travel) Package: Up to £80,000 DOE, plus 10% bonus, car allowance, pension, private medical, life assurance & 3% flexible benefits fund The day job The Head of Resourcing reports into the Director of Resourcing Operations and acts as a senior part of the leadership team. One of the key responsibilities is to work in partnership with our Police clients and design strategies that will deliver their Workforce Planning requirements for the next 3 years. Ultimately, it will be The Head of Resourcing’s duty to create drive our client’s resourcing activity forward. As the Head of Resourcing, developing and delivering plans and tactics, with a focus on talent acquisition, diversity and employer brand is a main focal point of this role. Ensuring the client business values and culture are at the heart of SSCL resourcing team objectives in order to attract the right talent for SSCL clients. You’ll be expected to run a team solving resourcing challenges across the entire organisation. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential as you will be liaising with client stakeholders, candidate escalations and employees across all levels of the organisation. Key Responsibilities: Control and responsibility of the entire resourcing process, often including managing budgets Managing outsourced recruitment contracts Using your teams as well as your own expertise to solve resourcing challenges Ensuring the client culture and values are consistently represented throughout the resourcing process Workforce planning and pipelining planning is reviewed and controlled on a monthly basis Delivering through your teams, MI reports on the resourcing data and analytics Adding value to the budget and financial constraints across the SSCL Taking into consideration the organisation’s behaviour and values and role modelling these Essential skills: Experience of large scale / high volume recruitment operations Proven ability in managing a large delivery team, excess of 140 FTE Understanding of recruitment legislation Strong knowledge and previous experience within a resourcing function Demonstrate strong relationship building, management and communication skills The company Shared Services Connected Ltd delivers class-leading business transformation programmes to government and public sector across the UK with a target to release one billion pounds of savings to the public purse.
