Purchase Ledger Clerk - Permanent Position Salary: £21,000 to £23,000 Location: Derbyshire - Chesterfield Our Client: An established market leader, this privately-owned organisation has been in business for over 40 years and is a leader in supplying their products all over the UK with a strong turnover of over 25 million. Role: You will work alongside reliable finance team of 3 and be responsible for ensuring accurate processing of invoices and payments, dealing with queries in a timely manner. The successful candidate will: Accurate and timely management of purchase ledger. Invoice processing, including coding and matching of supplier invoices to purchase and delivery documentation, check for authorisation. Posting invoices to the ledgers. Dealing directly with suppliers to obtain relevant information and resolve any queries. Supplier statement reconciliations. Interaction relevant departments to agree overdue invoice approvals. Generating payment runs through to bank. Investigate and resolve client queries. Assist in preparation and production of regular and ad-hoc reports and spreadsheets. Expenses - Check and post approved expense claims. Raise any issues or concerns with colleagues or line manager. What we are looking for: Experienced purchase ledger clerk in a private sector organisation. Strong Excel and Word skills. Practical experience of working with at least one accounting software package, with an understanding of the interaction of ledgers. Clear and confident communicator, both verbally and written.
