Overview

Job description: We are looking for a dynamic, pro-active individual to join our Counterparty Contracts Team in Maidstone. The team predominantly deal with the administration and management of Carrier and Agent Counterparty Contracts (i.e. Terms of Business Agreements, Delegated Underwriting Authorities and Sub Delegated Underwriting Authorities). The ideal candidate will be organised, have a key eye for detail and be able to "think outside the box". This is an exciting time to join the Counterparty Contracts Team as we have recently joined Towergate Insurance Broking which provides more exposure across the Group and presents new and exciting challenges/opportunities. Role specific duties: To manage, control and administer the Counterparty Contracts within Insurance Broking and to ensure that all information held in relation to Counterparties is accurate and that it meets all regulatory requirements. This will include reviewing, negotiating and occasionally drafting contracts To carry out necessary Due Diligence and ensure all relevant documents have been completed correctly, at onboarding stage, to enable Insurance Broking to transact business with Carriers and Agents in a way that adheres to the FCA guidelines and Group procedures. Liaise with internal key stakeholders to obtain relevant approval and sign off for contracts. To deal with general Counterparty Contract queries i.e. changes to contract wordings/clauses, acquisitions, mergers, cancellations, address changes etc…. To maintain effective controls to minimise the risk of Insurance Broking dealing with unauthorised Counterparties. This will include the regular monitoring of Counterparties to ensure they comply with FCA regulations and company-wide policies and are not a financial risk. To build, manage and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders. To undertake training in line with agreed objectives and keep up to date with technical, legal and market developments via the use of e-learning, internal training and reading market related material. To maintain and develop personal knowledge and skills through continued professional development as well as ongoing at desk training and ensuring that this is recorded in line with Training and Competency requirements. Design reports to help obtain management information.
