Overview

We are looking to recruit a Specialist Customer Service Advisor to work within the local council in Oxford. As Specialist Customer Service Advisor you will be the first point of contact for people contacting the Council with enquiries about Social Care via a variety of communication channels. Your duties will include (but not limited too): Answering enquiries via multiple media channels from members of the public and partner agencies including medical professionals, the Police and the Fire and Rescue Service. Researching information for customers and either resolving their enquiries or directing them to a relevant and more appropriate service Completion of an initial assessment including referrals for adult social care. Prioritise and place service users on social care allocation lists Ability to make independent decisions and identify when to refer complex enquiries to relevant specialists in the team, and other teams within the organisation. Assessment for and ordering of disability aids Dealing tactfully with complaints and escalating service user complaints appropriately; passing relevant feedback to managers to improve service delivery. As the Ideal Specialist Customer Service Advisor, you will have experience working in a fast-paced administration office and be capable of working in a close team as well as on own initiative. To be successful in the role of Specialist Customer Service Advisor you will be resilient and have experience of dealing with calls that may be of a difficult or challenging nature.
