Production Team Leader 19729

Your role as a Team Leader will be to coordinate and control the manufacturing team activities and resources in order to achieve the manufacturing plan safely to the correct quality on time to budget. Job Responsibilities: - Coordinate with the Manufacturing Manager to ensure that team has correct number of trained people to deliver the manufacturing plan. - Ensure that all team members are conforming to all health and safety procedures and promote a culture of proactive safety on the shop floor. - Ensure that all team members are conforming to Quality procedures and promote a culture of quality conformance on the shop floor. - Support product and process Quality improvements throughout all manufacturing areas. - Support continuous improvement activities to achieve budgetary targets. - Support the Manufacturing Manager in appraisal process to ensure all team members receive appropriate feedback on performance and growth opportunities. - Support the Manufacturing Manager in following disciplinary procedure. - Provide leadership, coaching and guidance to team members. - Proactively manage any manufacturing deviations from target and to ensure where appropriate required escalation process is followed. The ideal candidate will have the following skills, knowledge and experience: - Awareness of documentation structure - General computer literacy - Product & process knowledge - Understanding of metrics - Trained in LEAN manufacturing practices - 3 years' experience in a technical production environment - Demonstrated leadership skills and have worked within a manufacturing team. - Recognised management qualification & technical qualification desirable.
