Overview
A multi-office regional legal 500 firm in Peterborough is looking for a litigation solicitor to join its established team. This role would suit an individual possessing a strong academic background and the ability to run a personal caseload with minimal supervision. As a litigation solicitor, your main duties and responsibilities will include: - varied litigation case files including personal injury, neighbour disputes, landlord and tenant, debt, contract, tort and property-related disputes - managing your own caseload and regularly meeting clients and insurers to progress matters - evidencing good analytical skills with a willingness and ability to handle urgent, complex and document-heavy cases - bringing the experience and ability to deal with mediation when applicable - instructing and briefing counsel - demonstrating a commitment to achieve agreed billing targets - attending hearings - using IT skills and updating case management systems, Word and Excel documents - overseeing paralegal and junior members of staff - showing willingness and the ability to provide training when required If you are an experienced litigation solicitor looking to join a legal 500 firm based in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, please apply today to be considered.
