Overview

Our client is a foremost, progressive engineering business known for its innovative approach to product design and the manufacturing of large bespoke products. Due to rapid expansion, they are now looking to recruit for a Production Process Mapper to report to the Production Management Team delivering to them detailed Standard Operating Procedures for our current products This position is anticipated to be an initial contract of six months but may well be extended on a roiling three month basis should this be deemed necessary. Role and Duties: · To complete a detail standard operating procedure for each step in the production process having paid attention, not only to the manufacturing process, materials used and labour requirement but also to ensure that Health & Safety is at the highest standard · To review work-flow by creating and then monitoring all the steps of the process · To recommend Continuous Improvement (CI) projects as an output from documenting the process(es) Skills and Qualifications: · Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills · Self-motivated with a results-driven approach · Good 6 Sigma understanding, alongside Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement philosophy. · Advanced skills in MS Office · Managing Processes, Process Improvement, Production Planning, Controls and Instrumentation · Proven experience as Production Supervisor or similar role · Experience in using various types of manufacturing machinery and tools This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89690471
