Overview
The Role: DevOps Engineer Contract: 10 Months Minimum Location: Remote/ Dunton Technical Centre Pay: £34.48per hour An amazing long-term contracting role with Ford Motor group for an experienced DevOps engineer. Position Description: Infrastructure / Support Analyst: DevOps engineer diagnosing issues, monitoring and support of development team. Skills Required: - Java application hosting and web-based technologies (e.g. JBOSS/Apache) UNIX/ LINUX server environment. - Practical knowledge of SQL and Oracle technologies. - An understanding of bash scripting - An understanding of working with and configuring CI tools (e.g. Jenkins) - An understanding of XML and related technologies (e.g. Unicode) Java SDK’s, JSON & XML interaction, JavaScript, HTML, PHP Skills Preferred: - An Understanding of vehicle systems and diagnostics - Code development in Java based technologies & JCOE Frameworks - Knowledge of Ford’s Java build environment (Jenkins, GIT, Gradle, Nexus) Experience Required: - 2 years of relevant IT experience. - Experience of working in a challenging production support environment. - Experience in infrastructure architecture, data centres, server’s configuration, installation, troubleshooting etc. Experience Preferred: - Experience with continuous delivery and agile approach.
