Senior Commodity Trader The Company A well respected and highly established commodity trading house based in East London are looking for an experienced Senior Commodity Trader to join their small but successful London office. This is an exciting opportunity to develop a career within seafood trading whilst implementing and developing a new desk designed to further develop your commodity trade within this thriving establishment. The rewards will be substantial and commensurate with the experience required for this senior role. The Role Developing a strong understanding of their successful seafood business Bring to the fore your substantial experience within your specialised commodity trade and develop a successful desk autonomously Closely work alongside senior management to develop a winning formula moving forward Market monitoring and business strategy Price calculation Risk assessment Contracting Trade administration Statistics and analyses Maintenance and development of contacts with business partners The Ideal Candidate Successful vocational training in foreign trade and subsequent degree course or equivalent advanced education in this field Excellent knowledge of International commodity trading markets and appropriate trading experience A strong understanding of business strategy and previous experience implementing and developing a successful trading desk Excellent fluency in English (spoken and written); additional language is desirable Excellent working knowledge of the commodity management systems and all MS Office applications Strong communication skills High level of self-initiative and motivation Responsible and target-driven approach to work Self-confident and assertive If your application is successful, you will be contacted within 2 days.
