Overview
Job Title: Accounts Assistant Location: Glasgow Your new company This Scotland based CA firm are currently going from strength to strength and work with a diverse range of clients. They have excellent training and development in place for staff at all levels and the have experienced success in developing commercially focused finance professionals; this is demonstrated by a number of high profile promotions within the firm. This role has arisen due to continued growth within the firm. Your new role You'll work a team of part qualified and qualified accountants managing a portfolio of clients within the business services team. You will hold responsibility for accounts preparation, management accounts, tax computations and preparation of VAT returns. In addition you will have the opportunity to get involved in adding value to your clients and develop an understanding of more than just the numbers. What you'll need to succeed Your previous experience in a similar role within an accountancy firm will allow you to understand the importance of managing a varied workload with strict deadlines, all whilst developing your commercial acumen and ability to spot additional opportunities for the firm. You will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and a desire to develop your career over the coming years. You may also be working towards a professional qualification such as ACCA OR CA.
