Overview
Commercial Shipping Manager required. Bennett and Game are proud to represent a successful supplier operating across Sussex / Hampshire that require an experienced Shipping Manager to operate from their head office. The client supply materials required by the construction industry as well as running their own fleet of mixed vehicles including tippers, artics and mixers. The products offered are a variety of aggregates and concrete. They support private customers, trade and large construction sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for deriving new business opportunities, give clear pricing on all products and coordinate the delivery of these goods. You must have previous experience in arranging small load contracts as well as bulk orders. You must have a good understanding of the services required for the construction industry to be able to advise accordingly. Commercial Shipping Manager - Position Overview Approach SME's offering small load contracts as well as larger businesses that require bulk deliveries. Advise when possible each customer on quantities / load amount required on particular jobs Liase with the logistics department to ensure timely delivery of goods Strong communication skills Able to understand a clients needs suggesting add on services where possible. Commercial Shipping Manager - Position Requirements Strong negotiation / sales experience IT Literate Business Development / Account Management Understanding of profit and loss Management experience or Senior Sales within the construction market Commercial Shipping Manager - Position Remuneration Monday - Friday Salary - Dependant on experience Holiday - 20 days plus 8 bank Pension Start - Due to the ongoing Pandemic, applications will not be processed until May 2020 and interviews commence Summer 2020.
