Overview
Spire Healthcare is looking to recruit a Senior MSK Physiotherapist on a part time basis to join our modern, well equipped Physiotherapy team. Here at Spire Portsmouth Hospital we perform a wide range of surgery including orthopaedics. This role will involve working as part of a wider,multi-disciplinary team both in outpatients and on the ward to rehabilitate patients and prepare for discharge Duties and responsibilities The role will involve treating musculoskeletal outpatients with a typical caseload that will comprise of general sports, orthopaedic and MSK injuries and conditions, plus some time on the ward with post-op patients. You will need to demonstrate excellent clinical reasoning whilst maintaining CPD & joining in IST sessions, as the department is keen to support the learning and development of their team. Who we're looking for Degree (BSc Hons in Physiotherapy) or equivalent Min of 5 years Post graduate experience MSK Outpatients Experience The successful applicant(s) will be supported by specialist and highly specialist physiotherapists, many of whom have experience working in extended scope roles, with an established in-house IST programme and commitment to CPD Due to our links with the hospital, so we can offer access to leading consultant surgeons, sports physicians, neurosurgeons and podiatrists as well as screening and surgery, if required. We work closely with our inpatient physiotherapy colleagues at Spire Southampton Hospital, and there may be the opportunity to work across both sites for the right candidate.
