Sales Engineer – Steelwork Fixing Systems Job Title: Regional Sales Engineer – Steelwork Fixing Systems Job reference Number: 715403-9383-2066 Industry Sector:Steelwork Fixings and Clamping Systems: Steelwork fastening, Cavity Fixings, DeckingFfixings, Support Fixings, Floor Fixings, Rail Fixings, Drilling and Welding Area to be covered: East & West Midlands Remuneration: £45,000 - £55,000 (depending on experience) 10% bonus uncapped Benefits: £410 car allowance OR company car full benefits package The role of the Sales Engineer - Steelwork systems will involve: Selling high quality steelwork fixings, fastenings and clamping systems into a variety of markets including: structural engineering, civil engineering, nuclear, oil & gas, rail, architectural and building services markets Very much a technical solution sell to save time and installation costs 60% of your time will be spent generating specifications through consulting engineers, structural engineers, mechanical consultants, mechanical / plant engineers and architects. 25% of your time dealing with contractors and end users The remainder of your time will be spent managing repeat business from specialist distributors Taking over a successful area currently turning over around £650k per annum which has seen year on year growth Occasional overnight stays (approximately 1/2 a month) Conducting CPD presentations The ideal applicant will be a Sales Engineer – Steelwork Fixing Systems with: · Must have a minimum HNC qualification in mechanical, structural or civil engineering · Ideally a proven technical sales track record within steelwork, steel fabrication, steel construction, plant engineering, mechanical handling, structural engineering or civil engineering · OR currently working in a technical / engineering role and looking to get into sales · Ideally specification sales experience with consulting engineers · Ideally some experience of managing distribution networks · Technically capable of providing a solution based sale · Pro active and capable of working autonomously · Driven, hungry and enthusiastic The Company: · Est. 80 Years · Circa £12m turnover · 100 employees · Global Mitchell Maguire is a specialist Construction Field Sales Recruitment Consultancy, dealing exclusively with Construction Field Sales Jobs, Construction field sales vacancies and Specification field sales positions within: Steelwork Fixings and Clamping Systems: Steelwork fastening, cavity fixings, decking fixings, support fixings, floor fixings, rail fixings, drilling and welding This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89781803
