Overview
Service Care Solutions are looking for a Leaving Care Personal Advisor to join the team at Brent Council. The successful individual will need to have previous experience within a Leaving Care Team in order to provide support, advice and assistance for young people between the ages of 18 and 25. This is a temporary contract. PAY - £19.39 per hour CONTRACT - 3 month START DATE - 6th April 2020 HOW TO APPLY - If you are interested in this role, send your CV now to Jennifer at jennifer.lynchservicecare.org.uk or alternatively call 01772 208964 QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE •Qualification in Certificate in Youth Work Practice, childcare e.g. NVQ level 3, Access to Social Care NVQ with evidence of competencies of English and Maths •OR educated to A level standard with English and Math GCSE or equivalent •Knowledge of MOSAIC is ESSENTIAL for this role •Experience of a range of activities, parenting programmes and other relevant means to support care leavers, children and families •Knowledge and understanding of health and social care and how a personal advisor will contribute to safeguarding young people, those with complex needs, disabilities and special needs ROLE REQUIREMENTS •Demonstrate and understanding and commitment to the needs of care leavers, children, their families or carers and normal child/adolescent development •Statutory or voluntary experience in working with children and families •Ability to work flexibly; during term time holidays; some late evenings to provide responsive and quality service to children and families •Ability to write analytical and concise reports including children and family assessment and court reports •The ability to undertake Mental Health Capacity Assessments, Ordinary Residency Assessments and Human Rights Assessment •Understanding of sensitivity and confidentiality in all aspects of work undertaken and be aware of relevant legislation i.e. Data Protection Act Benefits of working with Service Care Solutions •A specialist consultant specific to you with a wide range of social work knowledge •Excellent and competitive rates of pay •An extensive range of exclusive Social Work vacancies available throughout the UK •Expert payroll service processed twice per week •Frequent job updates sent to you exclusively to meet your requirements •£250 bonus offered for referring a friend to any job role •Loyalty Bonus Scheme Due to the high volume of applications we receive, regretfully we are only able to respond to candidates who meet our client's requirements.
