We are now looking for an Engineering Manager to oversee the maintenance regime for our Polymer production facility in Felling. As department Engineering Manager, you will take responsibility for leading the local engineering team in completing planned preventative and reactive maintenance to ensure plant equipment is safe to operate and available for production requirements as well as the installation of capital investments. Important will be the ability to prioritise work as well as deliver a safe operating environment and ensure work is carried out in accordance with legislative requirements, HSE, quality and company procedures. You will also diagnose problems, help resolve HSE issues, oversee contractors and complete reporting as required. You will deliver continuous improvement projects and drive reductions in maintenance costs too. You will be expected to work closely with the site engineering team and Polymer production team to ensure the plant is set up to provide maximum output levels and efficient running of the facility. You may be required to design, install and commission new plant and equipment to readily adapted to suit any new product range or process technologies . As a Chemical Engineer you must have worked in the chemical production or process industries, ideally in an upper tier COMAH site and be familiar with chemical manufacturing processes and ideally experience with Scada control systems. You will have a proven track record in project management and the ability to lead a project team and manage engineers effectively.Comfortable overseeing multiple projects and prioritising requirements, you will possess strong communication skills too. Experience of change management and an HSE certificate, such as IOSH or NEBOSH, would be an advantage.
