Continuing Healthcare Assessor Location: Lancashire, with National Travel Salary: £28k to £38k DOE (pro-rata for part time salary) Hours: Flexible full and part-time positions, both employed and self-employed positions Are you a qualified and registered Nurse, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist or other clinical professional with experience in Continuing Healthcare delivery? Continuing Healthcare Assessor - About the role Are you a highly motivated and enthusiastic professional looking for a change of direction motivated to help move the Continuing Healthcare team forward? Would you like a highly flexible position offering Monday to Friday 9-5 working? Working to the highest standards and in line with National Framework, you will be responsible in delivering robust assessments and recommendations regarding eligibility for NHS Continuing Health Care. Assessments and/or reviews are typically completed in own homes, residential placements or within a hospital setting. This is a complex role completing and co-ordinating CHC assessments, involving the client, families and members of the multi-disciplinary team. You will provide high quality support including complex information and analysis, communications and stakeholder management. Your work is predominantly independent with the support of industry experts located at our four Centre of Excellence Hubs in Stoke on Trent, Swindon, Wandsworth and our Head Office in Sutton Coldfield, all working in partnership to ensure services are delivered efficiently and effectively. Whilst a minimum of one year’s practical experience in FNC and CHC assessment delivery is desirable it is not essential. If you seek the passion for a new challenge within a very rewarding pathway of NHS service delivery, we can offer an excellent training program with the support of our Specialist and Corporate Services teams. It is expected that some travel and overnight stays may be required. You will require access and use of your own vehicle with car insurance that covers you for business use. What sort of person are we looking for? The role is ideal for someone with a professional health background e.g. nursing, physiotherapy or occupational therapy. Whilst a minimum of 1 year’s practical experience in FNC and CHC assessment delivery is desirable it is not essential. Ideally degree educated or with relevant professional qualification. You must be a registered health professional who is outgoing, friendly with a desire to build supportive long-term relationships with clients, colleagues and a wider professional network with an essential ability to "run your own show". You must pride yourself on your writing, presenting and selling skills as you will need to persuade others and move them into action. You will also need strong IT, administration and analytical skills. For those with excellent transferable skills full training will be given.
