Overview
Brief Overview: This position involves the efficient and timely reviewing and processing of the company's internal employee expenses. Expense claims are submitted by employees via the online expenses portal, so the ideal candidate would be comfortable with, and have experience of, using web-based systems. Key Accountabilities: Daily processing of expense claims in the Cytric Travel & Expense system - claims to be checked against the company policy and HMRC regulations, processed and paid within 10 working days as per the Group's SLA. Processing includes: Reviewing (and authorising) claims and corresponding receipts against online claim submissions, whilst ensuring compliance with Group policy Liaising with employees to ensure all relevant documentation is provided and procedures followed Liaising with staff at all levels in the expenses process, in order to resolve any issues encountered with individual claims or breaches in policy Resolving queries raised during review of problematic claims, and escalating to Senior Management where necessary Monitoring the expenses inbox and answering general employee questions, and archiving historic/resolved emails accordingly Opening and sorting expenses post on a daily basis Ensuring all claims processed have been filed correctly (according to status in process 'chain'). Ad hoc support to the expenses manager, being flexible in the role THE IDEAL CANDIDATE Strong decision making skills and attention to detail is required for this role, as is the ability to communicate with people at different levels. The successful applicant will be confident with numbers and using computer packages such as Excel and Word, and web-based systems. A basic knowledge of finance/bookkeeping would be preferred.
