Overview
Our prestigious client on the outskirts of Cardiff are looking to recruit a Hardware Technician to test and refurbish customer equipment to support the project delivery team with client hardware requirements. In this busy role, we are looking for someone with strong experience of refurbishing PC hardware and with strong technical skills. Responsibilities: Refurbish and test customer equipment Set up, build, image and test new and second-hand hardware equipment for deployment either on an ad-hoc basis or as part of a large project rollout. Hardware configuration including firmware upgrades or adding additional components. Occasional warehouse work may be required. Logging customer specific details for the activities carried out. Assisting the Equipment Manager. We are looking for someone with: Good customer service skills and ability to explain issues of a technical nature. High level of computer literacy skills. Good organisation and planning skills. Ability to work to project deadlines. PC and networking technology experience. Experience of loading images on to systems and hollowing customer scripts. Experience of duplicating and creating customer specific software images.
