Start your career in one of the biggest IT companies in the world Join Tata Consultancy Services as Graduate Desktop Support This is a fixed-term contract for six months to work in our offices in Chessington (45min from London). The role involves managing a team that will be monitoring of Incidents, Infrastructure alerts across environments, monitoring of batch jobs, monitoring of datacentre equipment’s and troubleshooting the issues by engaging respective Infrastructure and Application Support teams. You will be responsible for: Act as gatekeeper for the ITS system and perform active service monitoring and event management. Follow the Incident management process to any alerts or events and update in ITSM tools. Event/Alert Optimisation. Refer Operational documentation to ensure faster resolution of events or alerts, escalate issues on time to System Analyst team or support group to avoid any service disruption or issue in business functions. Vendor coordination facilitates a bridge between different support teams/vendors to liaise with communication whenever required. Ensure active monitoring of all critical jobs and act based on operational documentation and knowledgebase to prevent issues or failures. Perform Daily Health Checks, take corrective action or escalate to System analyst team for appropriate actions to avoid any major issues or service disruption, keep track of corrective action and update the knowledge base. What we need from you: Work experience in software/hardware administration and computer Networking Demonstrable, relevant experience in IT Service Management Operate and maintain servers, switches, routers, monitors, and various other specialized equipment Desirable ITIL v3 Foundation Certificate Incident Management – used any industry-standard Service Management tool Batch and Event Management - used any industry-standard scheduling or event monitoring tool Basic technical knowledge around Windows and Linux Operating systems Experience of cross-functional working, including third parties What's in it for you?
