Overview
A market-leading figure in high-performance communications solutions, based in Fareham, is seeking two Software Engineers to join their established team to work on cutting-edge technology for telephone network operators. The company They have provided technology solutions including communications, fraud prevention, secure revenues, network performance and streamlining of content distribution to a vast range of businesses for over 25 years in 45 countries. The role As a Software Engineer, you’ll be joining an agile, highly technical and collaborative working environment to build new additions into their product portfolio, getting the chance to be involved in the design and architecture of interesting products you’re working on. They need someone adaptable and able to learn new technologies quickly, choosing the right tool for the job. The projects are diverse and may include any part of their tech stack so you’ll get the chance to experience a vast amount of their products. A recent project of theirs is a cloud-based contact centre , built upon their main platform; this is an omni-channel solution and includes webchat and social media. This product has gained a huge amount of interest, as well as range of others they’re building, and thus they need to expand their team further. Essential experience Java or JavaScript (Client-side or NodeJS) Linux/Unix Relational or NoSQL databases Degree in relevant discipline If you have experience with Bash, Python and any cloud technologies this would be beneficial. You’ll be reporting directly to the CTO, within a software engineering team of 10. This position has a diverse tech stack – so whilst their systems were all originally built on Java, there has been an influx of NodeJS , so if you are more frontend focused but would like to work in a truly polyglot style Software Engineer position where you’ll be using a vast and diverse tech stack, this will be the perfect position for you. This role is offering in the range of £45,000 - £60,000 dependent upon experience, with a generous benefits package including flexible working .
