Overview
An opportunity has arisen for a Global Category Buyer for a reputable firm based in Hertfordshire. Experience with both direct and indirect procurement is required and the food/retail/consumer goods industry would be ideal but isn’t essential. You will be managing the soft FM category on a global level, and must have experience of Global/European procurement – liaising with internal stakeholders in global offices and leading various international projects and tenders. This role manages all relevant global supplier relationships and you will network with internal and external stakeholders to ensure open lines of communication. You will implement and drive the category strategy whilst working closely with the relevant regional category managers, and will co-ordinate spend at a global level. Strong communication skills are essential for this role and there will be 6-7 weeks of travel per year.This role is ideal for a strong generalist procurement professional who is looking to progress their career within a global organisation.
