Staff Nurse - Acquired Brain Injury and Complex Care Location: Southport, Merseyside Salary: £16.00 per hour (£31,000 - £32,000 per annum) Overtime rates: Weekday over time is at £19.01 per hour and weekend overtime is at £22.81 per hour Hours: Full Time and Part Time hours are available - you can choose depending on your preference (options of: 11.5 hours, 23 hours, 34.5 hours or 37.5 hours) Shifts : Options of Days only ( 8am - 8pm ) or Nights only ( 8pm - 8am ) or Mixed shifts on a rotational basis - you can choose depending on your preference Are you looking for a new nurse job in Southport? If yes, you'vereached the right place An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced resgistered nurse or preceptorship nurse ( Registered Adult Nurse - RGN, Registered Mental Health Nurse - RMN, or Registered Learning Disability Nurse - RNLD ) to work within a very positive, friendly and supportive Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) and Complex Care Centre situated in Southport, Merseyside. They have a very positive and supportive work environment with a brilliant long-standing team. The have a very low staff turnover and staff morale is very high. The are very big on staff development and training. They have an extremely high staff to patient ratio which is 1:1 on pretty much all of the units. They also have a buddy system where you will have an experienced mentor for support if you would like it when you join the team. Service Details: This Service provides care for patients with a physical disability as a result of an acquired brain injury (ABI) or progressive neurological condition (PNC), learning disability, or mental illness associated with conditions such as epilepsy. The Service is split into four 8 bed units. They have two high dependency units downstairs and two rehab units upstairs. Their four separate specialist areas are: Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) Learning disability Mental illness Physical disabilities (resulting from any of the above) Shifts : The hospital can accommodate part-time or full-time hours and they can be flexible with shifts. They are happy to consider fixed shift patterns and they are happy to consider nurses who prefer working days only or nights only. Their shift pattern is 8am - 8pm (days) and 8pm - 8am (nights) and you will receive a 1 hour 15-minute break. Please state if you have any preferences on your hours and/or shift pattern in your application. Location : The Service is easily accessed by car. They are easy to get to via public transport also - their nearest train station is Southport and there is a bus link from the station that will drop you off at a bus stop just outside the hospital. Preceptorship Programme: In the case of newly qualified nurses / preceptorship nurses, the hospital offers a fantastic preceptorship programme. They have a good number of experienced staff to support and mentor newly qualified nurses. Training / Induction and opportunities for development and progression: The Hospital offers a structured and thorough 2 week induction programme, which will include various training courses. You will also have access to clear and structured development programmes where you can see clear pathways to progression within the hospital. You will also have access to training opportunities to develop and enhance your nursing skills. You will receive ongoing support from your Manager.
